Why Trust Is the Foundation of Good Care
A client who trusts you is more likely to be honest about symptoms, pain, and problems; more likely to accept help with sensitive tasks like bathing or toileting; and generally has better outcomes and a better quality of life. Trust isn't built through a single grand gesture -- it's built through small, consistent actions over time: showing up when you say you will, following through on what you promise, respecting privacy, and treating the client as a capable adult rather than a task to complete.
